Minneapolis (November 2017) – Today Wenck announced that Shawn Witherspoon has joined the company and will serve as Wenck’s business development manager, bringing more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the environmental space to Wenck and its clients.
“Shawn is already making a huge impact at Wenck – both for our business growth as well as for our clients. Having him serve as business development manager is an important part of our sales strategy moving forward,” said William Jensen, Chief Sales Officer.
Prior to joining Wenck, Witherspoon’s experience includes working as a director of sales, a senior division manager and the director of emergency response and remediation for several environmental services companies. This unique combination of experiences makes him well positioned to understand and successfully sell Wenck’s holistic service offerings to clients.
Witherspoon holds a B.S. in business administration from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark., and is a Registered Environmental Manager (REM) and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). In addition to his role at Wenck, Witherspoon serves on the board of directors for Xpress Boats, Bank of Little Rock, and Central Arkansas Rescue Effort – C.A.R.E.
“Because of my past work experience I bring to this role a more complete understanding of how Wenck’s service offerings can meet the needs of our customers. I look forward to putting my experience and connections to use in helping Wenck continue its impressive rate of growth into 2018 and beyond,” said Witherspoon.
