Minneapolis, MN (January 2018) – Today Wenck announced that Cheryl Lofrano-Zaske has joined the company as a senior compliance specialist, bringing more than 25 years of environmental program operations, compliance, and management experience to Wenck and its clients.
“Cheryl is a great fit for our team. She can provide expanded services to existing clients and push us into other client areas seeking additional management systems,” said Luke Taylor, Resource Group Manager, Environmental Compliance & Permitting.
During her 25 years in the environmental compliance industry, Lofrano-Zaske worked as an environmental and quality consultant for hazardous materials and waste – including lead auditor for ISO 14001, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and R2 (Responsible Recycling). She also spent time as a regulatory affairs officer and compliance manager for the permitting, collection, management, transportation, and proper disposal of hazardous wastes including batteries and electronic materials in United States and Canada.
Lofrano-Zaske holds a B.S. in chemistry and M.B.A. with an Operations Emphasis. She is a certified hazardous material manager, lead auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/OHSA 511, and R2. In addition, Lofrano-Zaske is a member and adjunct board member of the North American Hazardous Material Managers Association (NAHMMA). She is also treasurer for the MN chapter.
“I’m hoping to share my experience within hazardous waste and hazardous material management – and in doing so – help clients better understand the complexity of changing technologies. Within the ISO standards, I aim to help companies develop an overall business management system that ties together and streamlines the various requirements for environmental quality and occupational health and safety,” said Lofrano-Zaske.
